Sine Curves

About 55 years ago I learnt how to construct sine curves. Wondered then... What will I ever use that for. Well.... they are needed for deck beams. Here is a few I have made recently. Beautiful things.

Deck Beams and Hand Basin Cabinet

Gluing up a deck beam each day at work while I fit the completed ones.
Don't have enough clamps to glue more than one at a time.
This deck beam is for the well-deck.
 Only a little camber

Also almost completed the hand basin cabinet for our forward accommodation area.

Spent the last couple of days making our double bunk in the forward accommodation. Just have to everdure the slats then tape the edges together.

Roll Over

Four chain blocks, A bunch of lifting slings and two good helpers and it was done. All before lunch. Work went as planned except for a snitchy chain block that held the roll over up for a bit. We swapped it out for a more reliable one.
Method - Spindrift was rolled within the slings. When we ran out of chain length we put the boat down in two slings slung from the roof trusses then ran the chains back to start again.
Now all I have to do is level Spindrift up fore and aft with the waterline.

Coppercoat Antifouling Complete

Five coats and 20kg of copper later. Have saved a litre for skin fittings and damage etc prior to launching.
When it is good and hard it will be time for turn over. Looking forward to that.

Coppercoat

I now have Coppercoat on half of the bottom. Big learn. The instructions state 4 thin coats by 3 ~ 5mm pile roller. I used 5."Thin" being a relative word I soon found out that it needs VERY thin coats. Had a few runs but got it all on over 2 and a bit days. Looks good.
