Electrical Wiring Has Started

These are the main battery and engine cables. Still need a tidy.

Main Cabin is mostly finished

 I just have lino, another coat of varnish on the cabin beams, (Melva will do this) and lights.

Hydraulic Ram & Rudder Feedback

Fitted but no plumbing yet. 

Windlass and Spice Racks

The Nilsson Maxwell RC10 windlass is installed. The black things in line are skids for the chain. The bow roller is three metres from the windlass. Tested for auto release of the anchor and all works well.

The last picture is of spice racks for the galley cupboard. Currently being painted. They were originally music tape racks on the old Spindrift. Now modifies for the new Spindrift

Batteries

 The Mastervolt 235AH AGM house battery and the 130AH AGM engine battery are now bolted down on their plinths.

Eight Port Holes Installed

 Eight port hole acrylics and surrounds Installed.

Rub Rails On

All four purple heart rails are bedded. Now hust have to glue 148 wooden caps cavering the screws.

Well, the first 60 x 40mm purple heart rub-rail is on. Needed three strong bods, more hands and jacks but managed to bend them it into place and screw with Sika 291 behind on my own.

I did dry fit it first. Three more to go.

Spindrift is Progressing

 Launch date is still the 28th but here are a few progress photos on the outside.

 With the aid of three chain blocks it lowered endways and was manhandled onto the bearers.

Not installed yet. That will happen after I finish painting and installing the welldeck hatch surround.

Real nice having a proper engine room on a 10m vessel.
