#4 Up

#3 frame stood up to get it out of the way while waiting for longer timber. Need 3m+ for laminated deck beams.

Frame #3. Forward welldeck bulkhead and deck beam. The smaller ply will be the forward bunk base.

Two Frames Up. Eight frames / bulkheads and stem to go.

Feather-boad - This works for me

This works well for long planks and also for those small bits to cut that you don't want to hold.. The feather-board keeps the wood tight against the guide.

Slowly, slowly

Frame one completed waiting to be stood up. Frame two under construction. Tomorrow I will cut lamination strips for the deck beam and glue it up.

Frame two. Quite a bit to do yet. This has a ply bulkhead that will be fitted pre glue-up and another deck beam to be laminated. Currently planning to glue all in one shot. I will finish the beam first.

Some Yellow Cedar Arrived Today

Started at\ last. Here the thicknesser is at work. Thicknesser? Thinisser surely.

Time on my hands

I have redrawn the cabin line. Added a bit of colour.
That blobby looking thing on the well deck is me. Life size.

Waiting

I wait for timber so all a bit quiet at the moment.
I laminated the hatch top for the forward cabin and a turtle for it to slide into. Cant do more to that until I fit the foredeck.
Have lofted all I can on the floor. Visited Seamac for doors and windows. Always something productive to do.
Also bought a new Goiot 6230mm Hatch  for the well-deck and a deck prism from Stanley Marine. Only $250 for the hatch. The same hatch for our old Spindrift in 1992 cost us over $600.

 Now drawing the full size frames on the floor with some head scratching.
